Report: Schilling has angry response to writer in email

Former MLB pitcher and current ESPN analyst Curt Schilling was removed from ESPN programming last week after tweeting an insensitive image that compared Muslims to Nazis. Schilling, who has worked for ESPN since 2010, was pulled from ESPN’s broadcast of the Little League World Series over the weekend, and was replaced by Jessica Mendoza on Sunday Night Baseball.

For The Win covered Schilling’s tweet and his subsequent punishment, as did nearly every other sports website on the Internet. Schilling took offense to a series of articles about his tweet published by Awful Announcing, and sent a long email to writer Dan Levy, which was published on Awful Announcing Tuesday, defending the tweet that got him suspended.
