Toronto (Canada) (AFP) - The Texas Rangers beat Toronto 6-4 in a 14-inning marathon on Friday to push the Blue Jays to the brink of elimination from baseball's American League playoffs.

The victory gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five Division Series, with a potentially decisive game three at the Rangers' home park in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday.
