Panthers defensive end Kony Ealy may be in for another loss this year after being named in a fraud lawsuit centered around an African Boerboel.
According to the Charlotte Observer, the player and his brother, Danny “Dogman” Jones, conned a man out of $3,000 after receiving an investment check for their plans to breed and sell Boerboels, a large breed of Mastiff that can weigh more than 200 pounds.

Per the lawsuit, Ealy and Jones told Kris Johnson, a Charlotte-area sports bar owner, that many Panthers players were eager to buy a Boerboel puppy, and that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police planned to use the dog exclusively.
