The opinion of Dr. James Andrews, who performed Harvey’s Tommy John surgery in October 2013, might matter most. He crystallized the issue in a brief phone conversation on Friday, when a Harvey hailstorm descended on the Mets.
“I’m sort of caught in the middle of it,” Andrews said.
