Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh isn't going to stand in the way of one of college football's coolest traditions — even if it isn't his team's.
Harbaugh has campaigned for Florida State — which Michigan will play in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30 — to be allowed to perform its iconic spear plant from Chief Osceola before the game.
Harbaugh's reasoning? He wants to see it in person.
"I've never been to a game at Florida State," Harbaugh said, via the Tallahassee Democrat. "I've always wanted to go there and see what that atmosphere was like in person.
