Many veterans actually support Colin Kaepernick

Somehow, someway, somewhere along the way, in the aftermath 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's decision to protest racial injustice, primarily police brutality, by sitting in silence instead of standing at attention during the national anthem prior to his team's preseason game against the Packers last Friday, the motivation behind his action, or inaction rather, got completely twisted.

Many interpreted what Kaepernick's move as treasonous. One of his former teammates even with as far as to say he would've confronted him on the sideline had Kaepernick protested when they played together. This is despite the fact Kaepernick had long since shared his views on both his Twitter and Instagram profiles and cleary articulated them after the game.
