Former New York Jets player Scott Mersereau lost his cool Friday when someone had apparently egged his house.
According to Adam Sacasa of the Sun Sentinel, Mersereau accused a 15-year-old of throwing an egg at his house. The argument escalated to screaming, with the former NFL player threatening to kill the child before punching him three times in the head.
The 51-year-old was arrested Saturday and charged with child abuse.
The teenager's mother intervened when she saw her son being punched, eventually calling the police after several others witnessed the incident and tried to help.
