Edgar Castillo get call to replace injured Timmy Chandler in U.S. Copa roster

Edgar Castillo was added to the United States roster for the 2016 Copa America Centenario on Friday, replacing the injured Timmy Chandler.

Chandler strained his right quadriceps while playing for German club Eintracht Frankfurt.

Castillo, who plays for Monterrey in the Mexican league, will give the U.S. a natural left back on the roster, which it was previously lacking with Fabian Johnson set to be the team's starter.

Chandler's loss will test the team's depth at right back, with no natural players at the position behind starter DeAndre Yedlin.

Castillo has 18 career caps and started the USA's past two World Cup qualifiers.
