Tim Tebow debuted his baseball skills to MLB teams Tuesday, and some NFL fans remain puzzled.
They wonder, for example, why Tebow would change sports. NFL teams liked Tebow as a player; they just didn't want to use him as a quarterback. A position change could have helped the former Heisman Trophy winner stay in the NFL, yet he refused.
Mark Dominik, who was the Buccaneers' general manager from 2009-13, tweeted Tuesday that he "begged" Tebow to play running back.
"I called & called agent Jimmy Sexton, begged him & Tim Tebow to come play H-back for the Bucs but it was always nome, only QB, now baseball," Dominik said.
