Brett Favre, like MVP Cam Newton, was a lot more fun than Mr. Manning

SAN FRANCISCO — Brett Favre is part of the 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame class because of a long, durable career that included Super Bowls and prolific numbers.

In a few years, Peyton Manning will follow suit, having surpassed all of that. Excuse me, however, if I think Favre reminds us a lot more of the more enjoyable quarterback to watch in Super Bowl 50 — newly minted NFL MVP Cam Newton.

Full disclosure: While respecting the legendary career of Manning and its lasting effect on NFL history, whether or not Sunday is his last game, I will not go down as close to his biggest fan.
