2016 Outlook: Isaiah Whiteside

The Nets' lack of talent is going to lead to opportunities for young players to step up, and Isaiah Whitehead has as much of a chance as anyone. He will likely begin the season as Jeremy Lin's backup, though the Nets could use the two of them together if they want; Lin has extensive experience playing with another point guard. Whitehead put up solid numbers last season at Seton Hall, averaging 18.2 points and 5.1 assists per game, however he struggled to make shots consistently, shooting just 37.9 percent from the field, so that could leave him with a tough margin for error to overcome.
