Scandal-mired Cardinals sack scouting director

St. Louis (AFP) - The St. Louis Cardinals have dismissed scouting director Chris Correa in an apparent fallout from the hacking scandal involving an alleged breach of the Houston Astros database, reports said.

Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak made the announcement Thursday but did not go into details or discuss the allegations against the Major League Baseball club.

"I can confirm he was on administrative leave and subsequently was terminated," Mozeliak told the St.
