The Toledo women’s volleyball team had a rough weekend on the road, losing to Miami University on Friday 3-0 before falling to the team’s rival, Bowling Green, 3-1 on Saturday. University of Toledo now stands at 12-10, including 5-5 in Mid-American Conference play.
Third-year Rachel Vidourek led the Rocket offense with nine kills, while Toledo’s offense managed only a .070 attack percentage. First-year Zoe Birnbrich spearheaded the defense with a team-high three blocks, but, unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.
Miami now owns a 16-match winning streak.
“We lost to a very good team tonight,” said head coach Greg Smith.
