Silver Lake, Ohio – Toledo sits in a sixth-place tie following Friday's opening round of the 2017 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships at the Silver Lake Country Club. The Rockets shot a team score of 25-over par 313 and were paced by sophomores Natcha Daengpiem and Pinyada Kuvanun, who each shot five-over par 77s and are tied for 13th place.
Kuvanun was within one shot of the lead through 14 holes but registered bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes and a double-bogey on the 18th hole.
