PEBBLE BEACH, CA – Toledo stands tied for 11th place following the opening 18 holes at the 11th-annual Saint Mary's Invitational on Monday. The three-day event is taking place at the par-71, 6,868-yard Poppy Hills Golf Course and is being hosted by Saint Mary's (CA).
The Rockets posted a team-score of 19-over par 303 during today's opening round to find themselves tied with Nevada among 14 squads, 13 shots behind leader Gonzaga (290, +6).
Freshman Thomas Thurloway is pacing UT at one-over par 72 and stands tied for sixth place. Thurloway totaled one birdie, one eagle and 12 pars in today's opening round to be three shots off the pace.
