Rockets Rally Comes Up Short in 96-88 Defeat at Central Michigan

MT. PLEASANT, MI – Toledo's rally from a 14-point deficit came up short on Friday evening in a 96-88 setback at Mid-American Conference West Division foe Central Michigan. The Rockets (9-8, 2-2 MAC) came within two points of the Chippewas (11-6, 1-3 MAC) on two separate occasions in the second half but could never take the lead.

Senior guard Jonathan Williams spearheaded UT's attack with a career-high 30 points. He was joined in double figures by senior forward Steve Taylor Jr. (20 pts.), sophomore guard Jaelan Sanford (16 pts.) and senior guard Jordan Lauf (13 pts.
