Big 12, SEC coaches getting the biggest pay raises

Twenty-seven FBS schools have changed head coaches in the past few months. Five new head coaches are coming from the SEC and Big 12, and most of them got a nice bump in pay.

Using our college salary database and recent reports, we can take a look at all five and see how much their salary will change from the 2015 season to 2016.

1. Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart became Georgia's head coach

Smart had a guaranteed compensation of $1.35 million as Alabama's defensive coordinator in 2015. According to the Associated Press, Smart signed six-year contract with Georgia that will have a guaranteed compensation of $3.
