Defensive tackle Anthony Smith is no longer on the Texas Tech football team, athletic department spokesman Matt Dowdy said Tuesday.
Smith played in seven games last year as a fringe member of the defensive line rotation and was credited with two tackles.
The Spring Westfield graduate has two years of eligibility remaining.
