You probably heard rumors or read articles talking about college football conference realignment in the past couple of days. I’ve personally read two of them — one talking about how a handful of teams tried to join the Big Ten in 2010 and one about the Big 12 trying to lure Arkansas and Nebraska back to get to twelve teams.
Those articles, combined with certain questions at Big 12 media days, have sent the rumor mill into full swing. It’s not just the guy in the cubicle next to you or the troll on the message board — credible media outlets are now digging around for signs of seismic shifts to come.
