AUSTIN, Texas – Theodore Hoffman was selected to the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division I Baseball First Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Friday morning.
The Brenham, Texas, native earned the prestigious honor after carrying a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average in marketing.
He was the only Bobcat to start all 59 games this season, and he led Texas State in batting average (.349), hits (87), doubles (16), home runs (16), RBIs (56), total bases (153), and slugging percentage (.614). He was also second in runs scored (52) and stolen bases (14).
