SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Stop me if you've heard this before: The Rangers could have a killer bullpen in 2017.

You have?

Oh, that's right. A year ago. They came to camp thinking the exact same thing after a strong finish by a group of largely inexperienced relievers. And then the bullpen kind of fell flat on its face out of the gate. Anybody remember Tom Wilhelmsen?

"We went into last year with the same thought process," manager Jeff Banister said. "The challenge within the bullpen is that you really don't know what you've got until you get going.
