Rangers can't afford to lose sight of homefield advantage for ALDS

ARLINGTON -- For the visiting Milwaukee Brewers, a team that lost sight of their division leaders around the end of April, these are the dog days of the major league season. Strangely enough, they have that same look and feel for the Rangers.

There's something slightly unnerving about having a 13-day wait between your champagne celebration and the start of the playoffs. But that's what Texas is dealing with this week as it plays host to two of MLB's downtrodden clubs -- Milwaukee and then Tampa Bay -- and tries to take these games seriously.

You win a division and feel like your work is done until the big games in October roll around.
