Good morning. Either the Cubs or the Indians will win the World Series over the next week or so and the Rangers will be elevated to second place behind the loser on the list of franchises with the longest championship drought in Major League Baseball.
Regardless of who wins, the Washington/Arlington franchise will retain its dubious distinction of existing the longest without ever winning a World Series. So, I mean, it might have been over a century for Chicago but at least those fans can look up that 1908 Championship team on Baseball Reference and see that the flag still flies.
