The Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves are both interested free-agent right-hander Tyson Ross, according to reports.
The Rangers have "done significant homework" on Ross, per Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News. David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Braves have "at least some interest" in the 29-year-old.
Ross pitched 5 1/3 innings for the San Diego Padres on Opening Day this year and didn't appear in another game, spending the rest of the season on the disabled list with shoulder issues. He had surgery to relieve thoracic outlet syndrome in October.
