Rangers News: Shin-Soo Choo day-to-day with left ankle soreness

In Rangers news tonight, Texas Rangers left fielder Shin-Soo Choo is having trouble with his left ankle once again and could be forced to miss Sunday's game with the Detroit Tigers because of it.

Per T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com, "Choo had to come out of Saturday's 12-2 victory in the sixth inning because of the soreness. Choo said he is not sure if he'll be able to play on Sunday."

"I can't tell right now," Choo stated after the game on Saturday. "I'll have to wait and see how it feels tomorrow."

The original injury to his ankle occurred on April 21 against the Oakland Athletics. Choo sprained the ankle in that contest and was forced to miss five games.

The problem has remained with him ever since, as manager Ron Washington has tried to circumvent the injury by slotting Choo in as the team's designated hitter - an option would could also come into play on Sunday.
