Rangers' Hamilton slowed by groin strain

ARLINGTON -- Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton, after missing a month with a left hamstring injury and being activated last Tuesday, is now dealing with a slightly strained left groin muscle.

The Rangers are not putting Hamilton on the disabled list but he was out of the starting lineup for the second straight game on Sunday night. The Rangers could be seeing the result of Hamilton missing all of Spring Training and the first six weeks of the season while recovering from shoulder surgery.

Hamilton was acquired from the Angels on April 27 and wasn't activated by the Rangers until May 25 after 12 games on medical rehabilitation assignment.
