Texas Football Rumors: Charlie Strong Expects Major, Clarington "Any Time" At Texas

Our Texas football rumors update for August 7th:

2015 Texas football signees Devonaire Clarington and Ronnie Major are currently in limbo when it comes to enrolling at the University of Texas, yet head coach Charlie Strong expects both recruits to join the roster this coming season.

“Ronnie Major still has some work to do, Clarington still has some work to do," Strong said, via 247Sports. "But those two guys we expect to have here at any time. We’re just waiting for the NCAA to get them cleared.”

A four-star offensive tackle, Major told 247Sports that he has just one academic exam to take before his academic record can be approved by the university.

Clarington, a four-star tight end, is in a bit of a different situation. He has completed all of his coursework, but he's still forced to wait on the NCAA Eligibility Center to clear him. Since he attended for high schools during his prep days, it's taking some time for the Center to piece everything together.
