Reports: Texas to interview former Longhorn RB, current Toledo coach Anthony Johnson for vacancy

The Longhorns are expected to interview Toledo assistant coach Anthony Johnson for their running back coaching vacancy, according to a report from Horns247.

Johnson played running back for Texas from 2001-2005, while playing mostly on special teams. He recorded 19 carries for 93 yards during his career.

Johnson currently serves as the Rockets' running back coach and co-offensive coordinator and has been at Toledo since 2014. The Rockets finished the 2015 season at No. 27 in rushing offense and ended the 2014 season at No. 31 under Johnson's guidance.

He was previously at Sam Houston State from 2010-2013.
