24/7 sports is reporting that Baylor is set to announce former Wake Forest Coach Jim Grobe as the Interim Head Football Coach for 2016.
At first blush this struck me as an excellent move. Grobe gave Wake Forest the best 13 years of football in their history, and from 2006-08 the Demon Deacons were 28-6. He is respected for being a coach of high integrity, with lots of experience in working at a small private school in a Power 5 conference.
Grobe was out of the game last year and admitted that he should have probably taken either the Nebraska or Arkansas jobs when they were offered.
