P.J. Tucker is heading to Canada to play for the Toronto Raptors. He was dealt from the Phoenix Suns as part of a deal involving former Ohio State star Jared Sullinger.
Tucker played the last five seasons in Phoenix as the team struggled to contend in the Western Conference.
Now, Tucker is going to a top Eastern Conference contender. The Raptors wanted a physical defensive player on their team; they hope that Tucker can provide an edge in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
What’s interesting about the trade is Tucker started his NBA career in Toronto.
