After a record-setting and storied 48-year baseball coaching career, including 20 years at The University of Texas, Augie Garrido is accepting a position as Special Assistant to the Athletics Director and relinquishing his duties as the Longhorns coach, Men's Athletics Director Mike Perrin said on Monday. Garrido will be remembered as one of the most successful coaches in not just baseball, but college sports history.
