AUSTIN, Texas— Sophomore Brianna Taylor scored a team-high 16 points to lead No. 8/8 Texas to a 79-52 victory over Hampton on Thanksgiving Eve at the Frank Erwin Center. Senior Imani Boyette's 13 points pushed her career total over the 1,000 mark.
After coming off a career-high game against Rice, Taylor's 16 points on the night came on a 6-for-9 shooting effort from the field. Boyette totaled 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds. The senior also had two steals and three blocks on the game.
Boyette became the 38th player in Texas' decorated history to reach the 1,000-point milestone, giving her 1,009 for her career.
