Texas Football Recruiting: Top 2017 QB Announces Plans To Visit Longhorns

Four-star QB Shawn Robinson (Denton, TX), the top ranked quarterback in the 2017 recruiting class, is planning on taking another visit to Texas, potentially this weekend:

“I might be heading to Austin,” Robinson said. “I’m not sure yet. If I do go, it will be this weekend. I just want to go down there and spend some time with the coaches. I’m not sure exactly what I’m looking for, but I just want to see how they work with their quarterbacks.”

Texas offered Robinson, No. 15 overall recruit in the nation, when he visited in July. The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder passed for 2,799 yards, rushed for 1,416 yards, and scored 50 total touchdowns during his sophomore season, and said Texas is one of the teams at the top of his list:

“It’s Texas,” Robinson said. “We all grew up watching Texas since we were little. That’s all everyone talked about. So yeah, I’m interested.”
