John Burt to visit Austin on January 30th

Despite rumors that he'd move up his official visit to Austin to this weekend, former Texas commit John Burt, a four-star running back out of Tallahassee, FL, told Horns247 that he'll be in on January 30th - his originally-scheduled visit.

The 10th-ranked wide receiver in the nation per 247Sports, Burt dropped his pledge to Texas on January 6th after having been committed to the program since last July. He did tweet, however, that the Longhorns remain his leader while he surveys other options.

Welcome to Austin, Malik Jefferson

Five-star Mesquite (TX) linebacker commit and early high-school graduate Malik Jefferson will begin his stay at the University of Texas on Saturday. He confirmed that his last day in Mesquite would be on Friday on his personal Twitter account.

Ranked as the 10th-best player in the nation and #1 player out of Texas in the Class of 2015, Jefferson chose Texas over Texas A&M and a litany of other schools.
