3 Top Uncommitted 2016 Football Recruits Texas Can Land Before Signing Day

The bulk of the Texas Longhorns' recruiting work is dependent on what happens in the next few days. The Longhorns have several key spots to fill and there are still several impact signings they are hoping to land on or before Wednesday's National Signing Day. Here are 3 Top Uncommitted 2016 Football Recruits Texas Can Land Before Signing Day.

Jordan Elliott, DT

Elliott decommitted from Michigan on Jan. 27, less than a week after visiting Texas. He's been committed to Baylor and Houston as well, but he's expected to end up with the Longhorns. He's a four-star DT and the No. 14 DT in the nation. He'd be a strong fit for Charlie Strong's defense. For more on the Texas Longhorns, download the Chat Sports Android and iPhone app

Dontavious Jackson, ILB

Jackson took an unofficial visit to Texas this weekend, which should bode well for the Longhorns. He's a four-star LB and the No. 89 overall player. Florida State and Oklahoma are still in the mix for Jackson, but the Longhorns are considered the front-runners. He'll make his decision on National Signing Day.

Jeffrey McCulloch, OLB

Another linebacker on this list, as Strong is looking to load up at the position. McCulloch is the No. 4 outside linebacker in the nation and the No. 59 overall player. He visited Texas on Jan. 15th, and Strong visited him the next week as well. McCulloch hasn't announced his decision, but it'd a real surprise if he didn't end up picking Texas.
