Texas A&M signee Alex Scherff of Colleyville Heritage hasn't allowed a hit over his last two starts.
The senior right-hander threw a five-inning perfect game in a 15-0 victory against Fort Worth Eastern Hills on March 17 and followed that with a five-inning no-hitter in a 17-0 win over Fort Worth Dunbar on Friday.
Scherff struck out 14 of the 15 hitters he faced against Eastern Hills. He recorded 13 of the 15 outs on strikeouts against Dunbar.
Colleyville Heritage coach Alan McDougal said Scherff throws in the mid-90s but added, "I have talked to scouts and heard that he has touched 96 and 97 [mph].
