TE Camron Horry, son of ex-NBA standout, could help open up Texas A&M offense

Texas A&M signed another impressive recruiting class in 2017, and one of the Aggies’ signees is a three-star tight with an NBA pedigree.

Camron Horry, the son of seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry, is a 6-foot-5, 261-pound prospect from Katy (Texas) Taylor. Former college and NFL scout Chris Landry is a Horry fan, saying he provides A&M’s offense with a prototypical tight end, something it has lacked throughout Kevin Sumlin’s tenure in College Station.

“Sumlin indicated that he wants the offense to feature tight ends more than it has in the past,” Landry said, “Though Sumlin would like to have tight ends featured in the passing attack, they’ve been underutilized throughout his tenure.
