NFL.com projected Evans as a Round 2 or Round 3 selection. Our latest mocks had him in the same time frame. There had some chatter as recently as last week that Evans might find a way to sneak into the back half of the Round 1.
Evans was only a two year starter at Texas A&M, but that didn’t prevent him from compiling an impressive resume. He recorded 5 interceptions, 11 passes defended, and 165 tackles in two seasons with the Aggies.
