Tennessee began its apparel deal with Nike in 2015 as part of an eight-year contract worth an estimated $35 million in cash and gear. The Vols had previously been an adidas school dating back to 1997.
”When Nike speaks, everybody listens,” coach Butch Jones said in an hour-long promotional video released on Tennessee’s official website once the deal began.
