Ex-Vols QB Tony Robinson’s one-game NFL career profiled in ESPN film

A Vols fan and a film buff? You’re in luck: A film featuring a former Tennessee quarterback (no, not that one) is heading to the screen.

The Knoxville News-sentinel reports that former Volunteers quarterback Tony Robinson will be featured in the ESPN film “Year of the Scab.”

The ESPN production, about the replacement players who took the place of NFL stars for several weeks during the 1987 strike, is scheduled to make its premiere in New York at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 27. Robinson, who had a memorable one-game career during the strike, plays a central role.
