ESPN announces 1st week schedule, with Alabama-Florida State in primetime

As expected, the Alabama-Florida State game on September 2 will be televised in prime time, with ABC doing the honors, the network announced Thursday.

The contest, scheduled to be the first football game at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, will kick off at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Earlier in the day, with a 3:30 p.m. Eastern kickoff, ABC will televise Florida-Michigan from Arlington, Texas.
