There’s nothing odd about missing out on a top recruiting target. But Tennessee lost out on four-star quarterback Brevin White to an out-of-nowhere school.
Princeton.
White, a four-star pro-style quarterback considered a national top-325 prospect, pulled a major surprise Tuesday night, turning down the Vols and several Pac-12 programs in favor of the Ivy League school.
He announced his decision on Twitter.
Needless to say, Ivy League schools don’t pick up four-star prospects often, and White would be the highest-profile recruit to land in Princeton for many, many years. It’s even more surprising because Ivy League programs don’t offer athletic scholarships.
