A five-star offensive tackle in the class of 2018, Cade Mays has known from an early age that he was going to be a Volunteer.

Mays, from Knoxville (Tenn.) Knoxville Catholic, committed to Tennessee in July 2015 — a few months before his sophomore season in high school

“Well, my dad and uncle both played for Tennessee,” Mays told GN. “I felt comfortable there. How much love there is for Tennessee football here in the south, it’s something you can’t find anywhere else.”

Mays is the son of former Tennessee lineman Kevin Mays, who played for the Volunteers from 1990-94.
