Titans trio mull continuing post-anthem protest

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Three Tennessee Titans players who protested after the playing of the national anthem in 2016 in an effort to affect change in matters of racial injustice and police brutality are now contemplating if they should continue this season.

Last season, defensive linemen Jurrell Casey and DaQuan Jones and linebacker Wesley Woodyard all raised their right fists after the national anthem ended to raise awareness of racial issues. Despite maybe having even more reason to protest in 2017, given the violent white supremacist rallies in Charlottesville last week and current state of racial issues in America, these three are leaning against protesting the same way this season.
