OXFORD, MS – Temple women's track field wrapped up its first competition of the outdoor season on Saturday at day two of the Joe Walker Invitational hosted at Ole Miss. The Owls ended the weekend with several individual firsts and personal best times over the two-day meet.
Representing Temple in the triple jump were seniors Simone Chapman and Sydnee Jacques. With a mark of 11.26m (36' 11.50"), Chapman landed herself in the finals. The Washington, D.C. native placed ninth overall. Jacques jumped a mark of 11.09m (36' 4.75").
Freshman Jazmyne Williams ran the 400 meter dash for the Owls.
