Oxford, MS – Temple women's track and field joined the nationally ranked Ole Miss Rebels at the Joe Walker Invitational on Friday. For the first time in three years, Ole Miss hosted the Owls among about 20 other colleges and universities on its home track for the outdoor opener. Temple completed day one of the weekend with a top-three show from freshman Millie Howard and a debut from its only javelin thrower, Cortlyn Raynes.
In her first javelin competition as a Temple Owl, Raynes took to the field and finished fourth in her flight.
