Temple will host its first conference game of the season against American Athletic West foe SMU. The game is scheduled for Saturday, October 1st at 12:00 p.m. and will air on ESPNews and 97.5 The Fanatic, Temple football's flagship radio station. During Temple's last seven seasons, the Owls have a 6-1 record when opening up conference play. Temple is coming off its second win of the year against Charlotte by a 48-20 margin while SMU comes to Philadelphia after a tough loss to TCU, 33-3. RB Jahad Thomas scored two touchdowns against the 49ers in his second straight game for the Owls, moving him to fourth in career scores in program history (24).
