The Rays' Gold Glove center fielder has been out since June 8, when he sustained a hairline fracture in his right hip. He injured his hip sliding feetfirst into first base in a game against the White Sox at The Trop. Kiermaier's return was also delayed by back issues.
Kiermaier was hitting .258/.329/.408 with seven home runs, 20 RBIs and 10 stolen bases in 62 games this season prior to going on the disabled list. He had been rehabbing at Class A Advanced Charlotte.
