Beckham is in the midst of a sustained opportunity at shortstop, the position he played when the Rays made him the No. 1 overall pick of the 2008 Draft.
Entering the 2017 season, Beckham had made just 45 Major League starts at shortstop. And the Rays didn't have him penciled in to make many this season after trading for Duffy, who was expected to break camp as the starting shortstop. But Duffy has been slow coming back from left heel surgery, and Beckham is taking advantage of his opportunity.
With two HR tonight, @t_beckham1 is just the third Rays shortstop ever to record a multi-HR game.
