Lightning send Vasilevskiy to Syracuse to get more playing time

TAMPA — The Lightning reassigned goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy to Syracuse on Friday in an effort to get him more work and recalled goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis from their American Hockey League affiliate.

Vasilevskiy, 21, has played in 15 games with the Lightning this season, posting a record of 8-5-0 to go along with a 2.73 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. The 6-foot-3, 212-pound goaltender has also appeared in 10 AHL games with the Crunch this season, earning a record of 6-3-1 with a 2.03 goals-against average and .932 save percentage.

Gudlevskis, 23, has appeared in 25 games with the Crunch this season, posting a record of 8-9-5 to go along with a 2.
